Bad At Doing Hair? You Need This Tool!

Some women make it look effortless. You know the type. She’s the woman who shows up to the morning pilates class in a matching LuluLemon set sipping a green juice. Her hair looks like it was just blown out, even though it’s only 8 AM. You glance her way, mid-yawn with bedhead à la Einstein, and wonder... how does she do it?

You’re not alone. Not everyone is amazing at doing their hair. And the truth is that Miss Green Juice probably did get a blowout a couple of days before that pilates class. Her secret to great hair is dry shampoo between sessions. But you don’t have to drain your wallet to look Beyoncé-level flawless. You just need a fabulous tool that makes it quick and easy to style your tresses every few days and dry shampoo to stretch the style out!

The one tool that will change your life? The Platform Signature Pro Styler 1”. This is the perfect item for someone who isn’t fluent in the language of hairstyling and is looking for that 1-stop-shop product that she can use for almost any look.

Oh, and it’s actually the same tool that celebrity stylist Nakia Rachon uses on Beyoncé’s tresses. Queen status!

Why Is A Styler Essential?

You’re probably wondering why, of all the tools, a styler is the most essential to have on hand. The answer is simply versatility. If you are someone who hasn’t familiarized yourself with hair tools and style techniques, you probably aren’t going to be masterful with a blowdryer and round brush, or a curler for that matter. You need a single tool that can do it all and do it fast. While you probably should invest in a professional-grade dryer for the days you don’t have time to air-dry, you don’t absolutely need it to make a look work. A styler is capable of creating straight looks, beveled volume, curls, waves, touch-ups, and more.

What Can You Do With A Styler?

With the right styler, the possibilities are endless. Here are some of our favorite looks with tips from our team of FHI Heat stylists:

  • Classic Straight:The easiest and quickest way to get a polished look. If it’s falling too flat, use dry shampoo for added texture and volume.
  • Beach Waves:Begin by separating your hair with a clip. Starting with the bottom half, grab a small section of hair. Starting near the scalp, travel down the section while simultaneously twisting your styler vertically.
  • Simple Curls:To create curls, you’ll want to begin at the top of your head. Place a section of hair in the styler and roll it as you gently pull the strands through. Try to hold your styler so that it’s horizontal rather than vertical as you roll.
  • Power Ponytail:A straight and sleek power ponytail is perfect for when your hair is feeling a little greasy. Use it to your advantage by straightening your tresses and throwing them into a high ponytail. Grab the styler at the end for touch-ups.
  • 60’s Flip:Use your styler to straighten your tresses. When you get to your ends, curve upwards and outwards to get that gorgeous 60’s flip that’s so on-trend right now. You can also style a ponytail with a flip by using the same method.

Why The Platform Signature Pro Styler 1”?

First and foremost, it’s absolutely crucial that you style with a professional-grade flat iron. The materials used to create drugstore flat irons are extremely damaging to hair. Usually, the plates are made out of metal or glass, which don’t hold a lot of heat to begin with. The result? You’ll need more heat or you’ll go over sections multiple times, breaking and drying out your locks.

Features:

  • Adjustable temperature: from 140°F to 450°F for all hair types
  • Ceramic plates:Three layers of ceramic plates (infused with smoothing tourmaline) produce moisture-locking negative ions that repel humidity, reduce frizz, and increase shine.
  • Edge-to-edge Ceramic Heater: Offers even temperature and high-speed heat recovery for flawless passes.
  • Floating Plates: For better grip and heat distribution.
  • Cool-Touch Tip: For easy styling.
  • 1” Plates: An ideal size for various looks and styles.
